You know what?
What?
This is a moment.
They held hands and kissed.
What?
This is a moment.
They held hands and kissed.

"That was cringey!" Kamini said.
"Come on! It took me all day to come up with the right words to say what you mean to me," Maya pouted.
"What about Tamara?"
"She's um... You know..."
"No, I don't. The only reason she's still alive is because I understand what you both went through back then."

Maya was still on the grim battlefield, looking for the remains of his comrades. He ignored the mage fireworks and the loud bard music in the distance. This wasn't a victory. Not for him. Not after losing so much. He stabbed his rune blade into the head of a dead demon in a futile attempt to vent.

Maya found himself alone amidst the revelry, save the lone cleric seated opposite to him. He felt a rush of kinship when he saw the vacant look in her eyes.
"Hey?" He called her.
The cleric, Tamara, blinked & looked at him.
"Another drink?"
She shook her head. "Can I sit next to you?" she asked.

Five-time champion - 'Salt Lake' Sammy Vaughn peered down at his losing cards, face up on the table.
"I'm not as sharp as I was, kid. Sorry about that."
Kelly Christiansen, finally a master of the game, tear in his eye, "No apology, please, sir. You have always been a hero to me."

All Jed wanted to do was die. It’s had been 2 millennia since the Program has latched onto him like a lost puppy… with technology so advanced it might as well be magic. The thing meant well, but road to hell and all that. He just wants to rest, and finally be free of a world he no longer understands

Sasuke stared at his feet, attempting to avoid Sakura's pained gaze. He had once actively tried to kill her convinced that his bond with her was holding him back from his revenge. Now, after all those years, she still loved him. He couldn't deny his feelings for her but she deserved better.
