Over the center of the image, a few overlapping pools of lime green stretch diagonally from the lower left to the upper right of the canvas, drawing attention away from the subtler architectural shapes behind.

Portrait oriented canvas where the top half is solid ultramarine and the bottom half is flamelike streaks of digital oil paint with striations of pink, peach, orange and gold packed so closely together as to resemble thick hair, fur, feathers, or plush upholstery. The top edge appears soft and tufted from a distance, although upon close examination one finds pixelation and sharp edges at smaller scales.

Simple abstract painting featuring a mauve and ultramarine streaked background resembling woodgrain or streaks of rain, a roughly painted white circle near the top, and a foreground consisting of thick flat translucent lines of color painted from edge to edge of the canvas and intersecting in the center. One such flat line across the bottom is light blue as if representing water and the others consist of a vertical green stripe tilted to the left and two bright reddish orange stripes crossing in an X shape near its center, as if throwing off rays of light. Another faint magenta stripe runs vertically at the right edge of the canvas, set a kind of boundary or implying an object or landscape feature between the “water” the “buoy” and the “moon.”

Portrait oriented surreal landscape in desert tones rendered in a few broad expressive abstract upward strokes, dragging blazes of violet, umber, gold and orange paint up into the similarly painted“sky.” This upper part of the canvas contains sweeps of the same colors seen below, with just a few hints of light blue and cornflower blue peeking through the warmer colors. Two strange reddish brown objects rise in the near and middle distance, like truncated trees, or pneumatic tubes poking up through the ground, they appear to be open at the top, pooling darkness inside their fluted rims. Far in the distance on the left, there is a small circular hole in the “sky,” an agitated red around its rough edges and a brilliant cyan within. A single rivulet of cyan appears to drip down from this hole, running straight down along an invisible surface, a small accumulated teardrop shape at its end.

Largely abstract, portrait-oriented digital painting with expressionist, figurative and surreal elements. The primary brushstrokes are big and expressionistic: differently-colored two-tone spiral backgrounds in each of the 4 quadrants, and a strange, flower-like central figure made up of j-hook shaped brushstrokes in fiery yellow and orange with cyan highlights. Its “stem” is a coiled spiral vortex, narrowing and disappearing off the canvas near the bottom right corner, and its “petals” are j-hook shapes, like tongues of flame. Behind this figure is a kind of background image in rough black lines, a stem and floral burst like a dandelion gone to seed or the silhouette of a tufted palm tree, almost completely obscured by the colorful figure itself. There are strange details in the flower. It has two surreal “eyes”—glowing cyan irises with black pupils, hints of a warped nose, and—behind one of the licks of flame—the corner of a mouth is vaguely revealed, open in what appears to be a scream, upper teeth gleaming with white light accents like the irises and pupils. Four fingers of a small black-clawed hand curl out from behind another lick of flame, resting upon it as upon a shoulder. A stylized white-and violet ghost-shape is descending from the upper left corner headfirst toward the head of the flower, the ghost’s “arms” outstretched with long tattered tendril-like “fingers” at the ends. A laser-thin line of eerie green light is lancing in from the upper-right corner, making contact with the bloom and surrounded by streaks of small, hazy-green ghosts stretching upward along the line of light as if flying off the canvas. In the lower left corner, some golden energy appears to drip from one of the flame-petals, pooling and spiraling downward into the spiral of color in that quadrant of the canvas. In sum, in each corner of the canvas something is entering, leaving, or both as energetic spirals swirl into the corners and flame-like paint strokes swirl around the center.

Abstract art canvas featuring a central green cloudlike blob studded with five visible eyes—all looking in different directions— apparently floating in an open three dimensional space as arcs, rays, and waves of various colors zip around the canvas behind it. Three wide blue lines arc from the bottom left upward and to the right, and thinner golden lines appear to come in along a similar arc atop them but begin to tangle or take different paths as they disappear behind other lines and objects, somewhat distorting the realism and perspective in places. Three bright magenta lines zip in from the upper left and angle downward across the canvas, turning into waves and thinning to points, apparently terminating or disappearing into a dark blue oval void bordered by a ring formed by the golden lines. The deep background behind all this activity appears to be solid shades of earthy brown near the bottom of the canvas quickly giving away to swirling blazes of red, vermillion and peach above. The five eyes on the central green blob floating atop this scene are all green-lidded, violet-and-gold-irised, and black-pupiled, the irises and pupils gleaming with white highlights from an indeterminate source. Two eyes are looking generally left, two are looking generally right, and one eye at the top appears to be staring directly toward the viewer.

Abstract expressionist canvas somewhat resembling a brightly colored abstract map of two landmasses separated by a jagged, irregular strip of blue “water” bisecting the canvas as it travels from the mid upper left side to the lower right corner. The uppermost mass of color is a melange of gold, peach and pink, mixed fairly smoothly but shot through with faint tessellated lines, whereas the lower mass contains these colors plus deep indigo and violet in blockier patterns with thicker lines of light blue running through like roads or canals. One such blocky shape is jutting out across the bisecting strip, touching the mass of lighter colors on the upper side and seemingly transformed by them: what begins as an indigo rectangle on the bottom flames pink and vermillion as it stretches across the bisecting strip and touches the colors opposite. The many other jagged edges and small tendril-like archipelagos of color at the edges of these two mattresses seem primed with possibility for making similar contact if the components in the image were to shift position.

expressionist canvas consisting largely of streaks of emerald and mint green against a rust and red-specked background, creating an earthy jade-like surface streaked with a few thick bright lines or tessellations. The surface also evokes floorboards lit with an eerie green, and in this reading the red flecks evoke paint stains or blood. The dark title of the painting is further reinforced by a faint humanoid shadow on the left side of the canvas, somewhat crouched but seemingly in motion toward the left and glancing perhaps furtively behind themselves.
