And an amendment to prevent shutdowns. It's a Reagan era tactic that serves no purpose. Failure to pass a budget should trigger an election, not a hostage negotiation.

Can we talk about the $30 million earmarked for utilities work at the Capitol building? Social Security employees may or may not get paid come February, but by god, that thermostat better work. Can't have our politicians get chilly.

If your OCTOBER payment was affected, you should be receiving OCTOBER & NOVEMBER shortly & you WILL NOT get a payment on the 4th Wednesday in November.

They also found out that payment center employees are working from home. Considering a huge part of the TSC commutes in, they simply don't understand why that option isn't being offered to them. They are going broke for their jobs.

Spouse reports that morale at the Birmingham Alabama TSC hit the wall today. Many of his coworkers had to just tap out & go home throughout the day. Between the desperate callers they are no longer allowed to assist via phone & the missing paychecks, they just can't take it.
