Divvy is being Divvy. She loves pats and starts rolling around on excitement sometimes, which makes giving her the pats difficult. Skye is puzzled by this behaviour.

Benefit of working from home: when you feel crappy if you have no meetings booked you can just stay in your PJs, and use your lunch break for a nap.

I spent most of yesterday napping in a dark room but at one point I woke up and 🥹 they're becoming buddies!

Two weeks of this headache means I get to do x-rays, MRIs and blood tests again. On the downside the blood test is fasting (why is it always fasting) but on the plus side I will take myself out for brunch after. 🫠

We are at the point of co-habiting on the bed, and there have been some attempts at playing together and grooming from both of them :)

I am on day two with a migraine and I think it's starting to fade but not entirely sure. I also have an eye test in like four hours so that will be fun.

I am self teaching powerapps atm because it has a lot of potential for a key area I'm involved in at work which is both interesting and extremely tiring because my brain just does not like formulas. I have figured out how to do some cool things though!

This is Divvy, who I am picking up today. She is 3.5 and has been in foster care since she was 2 weeks old 🥲 I hope she loves it here - earlier than I was planning on but she is a good fit for our house, and Pan is missing having another cat around.

Meanwhile Pan is completely sick of my extra neediness and is apparently bored without Bandit to beat him up? 🤔 He's very affectionate but only likes it on his terms, and isn't really a pick me up sort of cat so he is feeling very hard done by at the moment.

Grief is such a weird thing. This is the first time I've actually put down an animal of my own, and compared to when I've had animals die suddenly and even compared to my grandparents it feels more peaceful. It's like a gentle wave instead of a torrent. It comes and goes, but it's easy.

It's been ages since I've posted - a combination of being busy, poor health, and a bit of a depressive episode. I'm not back but there are a couple of people from twitter I've been mutuals with for ages so a quick update - Bandit was put to sleep on Monday.

Saw Short Stack on Friday, it was a lot of fun. Has me kind of debating the Good Things Festival again cause I would really love to see FOB and some of the other bands but I've never been to a festival and the amount of people is pretty intimidating

I had oranges left over from when I had covid so I did what any sane person would do and made an orange almond cake. Possibly a little late in the day considering it's 9pm, and still in the oven but it was too hot earlier lol

Took Skye on a little track walk. Just 2km since I'm still pretty low energy after covid and my hip has flared cause I haven't been able to do my exercises. She was a good girl and had a lot of fun sniffing around.

I'm crampy and miserable but this means I am at least booked in for the Mirena now. Super anxious but I'm so over this. Especially since my hip pain also flares up because of it. Stupid goddamn body.

She's lucky she's cute because the covid fatigue meant getting this blind up for her on the weekend took about two hours instead of ten minutes. 😅

🌱 I took Skye downstairs and discovered the first female flower on one of my mini pumpkins had opened! There was also a male one open so I did some plant IVF. No pics cause I forgot to take down my phone 🤷♀️

Today we will hopefully get the outdoor blind installed for the deck. I also need to put together 3 arches for the garden. And possibly mow. I'm still having energy issues though so the blind is most important.
