Repeat certain plants or colors throughout the space to create rhythm and cohesion, but change up the numbers or the plants they are grouped with for more variety. You can see here how the background plants are repeated to give some structure but have different plants in front.

With planting design, you typically want to plant in groups of three or five. This helps things look more natural than even numbers, unless you are going for a more formal design where you might want things to look more symmetrical. You can see the difference here.

Typically, you're going to want taller plants in the back for structure and shorter ones in the front, with some sort of middle layer to bridge the gap. I suggest at least three different layers to start off with and then you can go from there.

Think about the angles you usually take screenshots from, framing views is especially important if you want to have nice context for photos. You could also make a focal point that draws the eye. So if you're struggling, start with making things look good on camera!
