I’m choosing to believe that Lucifer didn’t care about his death because he understands the nature of dying in the afterlife enough to know Adam is likely returning as a sinner. adamsapple may never be canon but it will still be interesting to see Lute deal with the reality of Adam being a sinner.

it really gives the vibe like they used to play together, maybe in Eden. When Luci called him “buddy”. I’d like to believe they were once friends and played together and this fight was reminiscent of that.
