I find my body is perfectly calibrated for that to start happening right at 0 F. Makes for a handy thermometer on-the-go. 😆

Backs up your initial claim, thanks for the additional context.

Could you show those as percentages? Obviously way more Fateh first-choice votes.

The phrasing is so weasely, so many qualifiers. "Carried the section of the city with highest proportion of black voters" instead of just "Carried black voters" (which is probably false).

"Fine spent a number of years on the Park Board; in 2003, he forced through the hiring of an old buddy as superintendent of the Parks system."
Elections 2025: Minneapolis Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET)
Do not skip this one! You need to vote, and you need to tell your friends to vote, and you need to tell them how to vote. The tl;dr is that you should vote 1. Eric Harris Bernstein; 2. Steve Brandt…

Except Ward 2, Madore has 31 points to Wonsley's 24

You're absolutely right, glad I'm not the one counting votes!

I'll delete and re-reply.

Oh, possibly I interpreted it wrong? Does getting all the at-large Park Board candidates right count as 1 point or 3?

If it's by race, then yeah, I should be at 19, sorry for the miscount.
November 5, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Possibly, but even if that's true of all ~8000 people who left Frey/Fateh off their ballot, that's only 5% of the voters. Always room for education, though many of those folks were intentional about their choice to leave Frey/Fateh off (we do have Republicans in the city who probably hate both).
November 5, 2025 at 6:26 PM
According to the tabulation table, Fateh could have won every exhausted ballot and would still have lost.

Will need to look at the cast-vote record, but broadly agree with your premise.

Can confirm, she knocked us in Ward 13 twice and attended several fall festivals. Don't recall any other at-large candidate door-knocking or dropping lit at our home.
November 5, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Was your 1st choice Carter? If so, Ranking Her 2nd had no effect on the outcome. RCV only looks at your other rankings if your 1st choice is eliminated. You can never hurt your higher-preference candidates by ranking other candidates below them.
November 5, 2025 at 1:57 PM
No worries, I could have been more clear.

I agree it'll be interesting to look at the raw votes and see what that threshold would have been.
November 5, 2025 at 5:29 AM
I believe you're saying if there were more Davis-Fateh voters, then Hampton gets eliminated first, splitting his votes however, and then Fateh is eliminated, with most votes going to Davis, giving him enough to beat Frey?
November 5, 2025 at 5:11 AM
It would have to be a very large number. Even if Davis gets every Hampton vote, he still trails Fateh by 7 points (more than 10k votes).
November 5, 2025 at 5:05 AM
55% progressive to 44% conservative should roll up to 2 progressive at-large seats assuming people are ranking predictably.
November 5, 2025 at 4:04 AM
This is progressive Ward 13 erasure, we voted for Moriarty over Dimick by ten points. Texas, maybe. Idaho, get outta here.

The city's response is the typical weasely language that may be technically correct but is clearly trying to hide the truth.

"Is not a finalist" = Charlotte has already decided but it's not public

"Did not apply" = O'Hara didn't literally submit an application but was invited for an interview
