Some things I love ❤️
Thanksgiving was great this year.

🦃 All the dishes came out perfect!
🦃 I didn't burn the pie. My aunt has declared the family curse broken!
🦃 House clear, kitchen cleaned, and food put away by 8 pm!

But...
🦃 It's the 1st year I've needed glasses to read the instructions! 😂 Middle age is humbling!

We got tickets to see Weird Al in May! I'm so excited!

This is a serious bucket list thing for me. I could cry 🥰

I went with the kiddo to see Sleep Token last night. Wow! What a show.

Performed with such energy and intention, it definitely feels like a ritual. Vessel's dancing, while joyful, shows an artist in his element. Phenomenal band live, too.

It was an amazing night 🖤

This is what 47 pounds of starfruit looks like 😍

My cat has stomatitis, a condition that causes painful swelling and sores inside his mouth.

I've been treating him with an herbal infusion that we mix into his wet food. It's really working! He's had no steroid shots in 6 months, and he used to get them every 2 months. Recipe below!

We had our annual mango tasting last night at our fruit club - they call it the "Mango Tango"! 😂

My favorite this year was Lemon Meringue 🥭

Wow. Some people.

I saw folks online arguing about the need for NOAA staff. Some said that they can't even track hurricanes, so why so we need them.

As a native Floridian let me assure you, these forecasts are amazing. I've lived through some scary storms, and the forecasts are so much better.

Whenever I hear a song my parents used to love as a couple, it hits harder since Mom died. Especially "Your Wildest Dreams" by The Moody Blues.

It's easy to forget that loving someone so deeply means one day losing those shared things that mean so much. My heart breaks for my Dad.

We have eggs! 🪺

There's a Northern Mockingbird nest in our Barbados gooseberry plant.

Smart choice, birdies, that's a thorny one!

When my daughter was little, I used to tumble her around in my arms and say, "Upside down babycakes!" She would giggle so much she'd start to hiccup.

She just walked by me, all adult and bigger than me now, headed to work. And I'm just here wishing I could hear that giggle again. ❤️

I just noticed the button we use for selections (or "ok") on our TV remote is the most worn out.

The way we watch TV is so different now.

It's not the idiotic things that are being said that bother me as much as the people willing to listen... and to believe them.

Can I just say... being in my mid-40s and female is... interesting.

I'm staying positive today 😂

Yesterday, I had to produce "proof of employment" letters for 2 co-workers who are originally from Venezuela.

What's the point of form I-9, then? Seriously.

What's the point of granting permanent resident status and still questioning those within their approved terms? It feels like intimidation.

"Good trouble" is a favorite phrase of mine.

There's a grim satisfaction watching my co-workers come to the realization they're holding a 29k bill for duties on a 49k order from China.

Yep, tariffs are real. And it's US companies and citizens who pay for them.

Advisor: People can't afford name brand cereal, so they're buying generic. Profits will be going down.

Cereal Exec: Can't have that, let's explore how we can cut expenses to make it up. Employee benefits? Cheaper ingredients? Hiring freeze? Gotta make my bonus!
