I was frying up some beef for dinner when I hear the saddest cat wails outside my door. I told the wife, "I'm going to check, ok?"
The moment I unlock and open the door, this little fellow runs in and jumps into my arms, and starts purring.

Apologies for the potato-grade photograph, but this is the best I could do to capture one of the tiny baby vampire crabs in my paludarium. If I open the door to photograph them they scuttle away and hide, so zooming from outside the glass is the only way I got this.

In a break from the eternal shawl knitting, this is the first donation knit I'm doing for the hospital — a little ombre hat for a newborn. I've got some receiving blankets in the making too. And the leftover yarn is going to go into knits for unhoused folks.

3 sections into my Citron Grand for my wife; just finished Row 1 of Section 4. I plan to do the whole 10 sections for her. This one is beaded because I like sparkly things.

My super skinny needles for Project Pineapple have shown up in the mail. Yay! Now I need to dye a bunch of silk thread green and another bunch of yarn yellow-to-brown and start knitting the project of absolute insanity.

Half the silk thread and all the beads for Project Pineapple have arrived today. I'll order the rest of the silk thread with some other notions and beads I'm anticipating for other projects, and then unwind it from the spools into skeins and hand-dye them in the eight colors required.

Our Houseguest himself, shortly before he tucked himself up along a comfy branch and went very happily to sleep. He tuckered himself out climbing so it's not surprising he decided to get some shut-eye once the lamps went out.
I put his humidity curtain over the mesh door and turned the fogger on.

I just did a little mutual aid mending for a colleague — her jeans were wearing out badly in the inseams and she was running out of pants, so I told her I'd mend them. This is the first pair.
By the time I'm done she'll have 3 pairs of jeans almost as good as new and ready to be worn again.
