Kiss the Go-Goat. Greetings from the band Ghost.
The square Valentine card image from the band Ghost features a blue heart with a skewed charcoal textured pentagram on the blue background accented by two bright gold points of light at the top of the heart and a muted partial point of light on the bottom right. There’s a scraggly bare wood tree branch on the middle side left edge projecting into the heart. At the center of the heart is on open wooden coffin-the top lid is on the right side and the open coffin is on the left side where the 1969 versions of Papa Nihil & Sister Imperator (from the “Rite Here, Right Now” cartoon film) stand in an embrace. Above the heart is written “You’re the guy I wanna do & you know that it takes two” (song lyrics). On the bottom left corner are the words “Inspired by ‘Kiss the Go-Goat.’ “ The GHOST band logo is in the bottom right corner. The entire heart image and any wording are on a gradient background of shades of purple moving from the left edge to right, light purple on the left side and dark (almost black) purple on the right edge of the image. The purple background is textured with black and we can infer that it’s possibly the same type of image that’s shown in the blue heart background. This isn’t clear (there are roughly textured, linear black marks woven into the purple).

I want something to feel good about today so here’s a photo I captured in France of Papa Emeritus IV!
Tobias Forge from the band Ghost performs onstage in Nice, France in the character of Papa Emeritus IV. He is holding a microphone to his mouth with black glove covered hands and wearing a bright blue, shiny sequined and tailored jacket by Sir Tom Baker, reminiscent of something Barry Manilow might wear 😊. The sleeves of the jacket are black leather joined at a seam to the blue sequined fabric on the upper arm. The jacket is layered over a black, ruffled cuff shirt and a black silk cravat at the neck.

I took this photo at Palais Nikaia in Nice, France on May 30, 2023. Very excited for the upcoming 2025 Ghost US tour! I’ve been following them since 2013’s Avenged Sevenfold “Hail to the King” tour. It’s been very interesting seeing their evolution.
