I'm sorry but waking up to unwarranted negativity from something that I genuinely didn't intend to be read that way generally causes this kind of reaction from me. I'm just tired, I get misread as hostile all the time and it just really frustrates me.

it hurts to get ratio'd for that because someone reacted defensively to something that was not intended to come off that way. I wasn't arguing against the point they were making, just pointing out an incorrect term, and instead of going "yeah you're right my bad" they chose to respond with annoyance

It's just the type of terminology mixup that I instantly notice on these games and therefore always make an attempt to correct. I'm sorry if it comes off as pedantic to some but I think the distinction is important because calling a remake a remaster downplays the effort that went into it.

I'm sorry I just always correct people whenever I see the wrong terminology being used. I saw it a lot when the game released and became hyperaware of it. No Mario RPG has gotten a remaster (used the same engine for a non-VC/NSO rerelease) and seeing the terms get mixed up bothers me.

TTYD remake is not a remaster, sad to see that my irresistible habit of correcting this whenever I see it still gets misinterpreted as unwelcome pedantics and invites a ratio when im just trying to spread awareness of the right terms

One of those cases where my autism makes me unlikable :(

From what I can tell from the outside, there are franchises that embrace their batshit insane eldritch final boss villains who canonically die at the end and throw them into party games to compete against the main cast anyway. Mario is not one of them and I dislike this fact
