December was a physically and emotionally exhausting month, and I’m still recovering. The crazy weather is not helping my body. There is a huge floral centerpiece in our entryway that has been there for a month now. It’s dead, it stinks, and it pretty much sums up the state of my home right now.

My vote in TN doesn’t really matter because of the electoral college, but at least I showed there’s one less person falling for Trump’s bs.

“Girls FTW” is something only somebody in the closet would say. I’m convinced that Elon is asexual. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it doesn’t fit his macho image that he so desperately wants to project.

The weather is getting crazier and more severe every year in Memphis, and I live in a neighborhood with lots of very large, old trees. Getting a generator has been such a blessing.

I had some wonderful English teachers, and I was taught to not use the Oxford comma. Since it seems like it is considered standard by most people, I have now crossed over to the dark side.

Some people don’t have the energy or attention span for reading, so you could have a movie discussion zoom group. It’s still not the same as leading a full life, but it’s something.

Are you well enough to get out for low energy socializing? I joined a book club that meets once a month, and it really gives me something to look forward to. Or could you start a book club that meets by zoom? Maybe with other cool housebound people?

I am so proud of the way many Memphians have supported the immigrant community. Even Hispanic people with full citizenship are afraid to leave their houses, so the Immigrant Pantry has been delivering groceries and Christmas gifts to those in need of help. We will not let hate win.

If you cut health insurance and food stamps for enough poor citizens, maybe they will get desperate enough for these jobs. I’m sure the Republicans can create a way to pay them less than minimum wage as well. Behold, the new peasant class. I think that’s the goal.

Have they realized how vile he is? I haven’t seen anyone defend his remarks, but I haven’t seen anyone other than MTG (who has wisely jumped from the sinking Trump ship) condemning them.
