While Drone Mode is controversial, even by Fazbear Entertainment's current standard, there are no exceptions to the rules that Drone Mode is a permanent mode that can be activated at a moment's notice.

Regardless, Drone Mode can be considered dangerous, especially if the afflicted animatronics were to be under the influence of someone with similar motives to that of Vanny, or the Afton Virus.

If Drone Mode were to be activated, it can only be deactivated exactly 24 hours after the initial activation. But, there is a workaround in the process of being finished, but whether it works or not, is still a matter of debate.

Say if the head security guard gave them direct orders, the afflicted animatronics would have to follow said orders to the letter, even if it was to unalive someone, regardless of who the subject of the order was to be.

Their purpose shall be based on what they were fundamentally made for, and no other purpose can be given unless written into the afflicted animatronics' main coding. The afflicted animatronics are also obedient to those they see as superior, based on their database of personnel.

The memories are still there, they are just behind the Drone Mode's firewall, which cannot be breached unless Drone Mode is deactivated. While in Drone Mode, the afflicted animatronics shall be devoid of all their developed personalities and memories.
