I think it’s a combo of that and that Obama appointed him so Dem officials are afraid of calling a spade a spade because they might get egg on their own faces.

I think it’s also reasonable to think that some of what you’re seeing online is people that would like our party to start negotiations at a point beyond where we want to end up. Wanting to see Dems fighting to abolish ICE doesn’t mean that’s the only acceptable end to that fight.
