Stop "tap-in-front-of-driver" and instead do "tap-inside" so that the buses can stop and leave significantly faster at each bus stop. This would significantly improve speed, especially at commuter time.

And remove "tap in front of the driver" so that buses don't spend 2-3min at each bus stop at pick times. This would significantly increase average bus speed (but may require conductors roaming the network to pick up cheaters).

This is pretty public knowledge. It's well known that China is still building coal plants. The difference is that they are also investing so much in renewables (and nuclear) that they will also shut those coal plants faster than those countries complaining they are building them now.

And the picture chosen includes the bicycle parking bay. Honestly I wouldn't mind if cycling was restricted in Rose but only after appropriate cycling infrastructure is provided all around, which is not even the case on George Street...

Typical. Change topic because you don't have the answer (don't even want to do the maths, let alone liking them). My point had nothing to do with North Sea Oil & Gas.

If you know the answer, then give it to us, please. Otherwise you are just trying to find an artificial reason that suits your belief. It might make you feel good but it doesn't help the debate at all. And it would in fact be good to know what level of public investment was involved.

I read it more as an observation. The conclusion he seemed to reach (albeit maybe not explicitly) was: If we want 20mph to "feel" normal, then we need to make the vehicular part of the roads narrower; which is nice because it will release space to build cycling and pedestrian infrastructure.
