A second appearance for Nakajima vs Miyahara! Great comp here. Also this list reminds me: is Ricky Marvin the most under-appreciated wrestler of the last 25 years? Not saying he doesn’t get recognition - but I don’t think he gets nearly enough.

100%. The greatness was that both performer and character were perfectly in sync - both trying to push themselves past the point where it was guaranteed to work. Kayfabe, not kayfabe - didn’t matter because the goal was identical either way. The “botches” weren’t a bug, they were THE feature
