Wasabi is the best thing next to Flonase 😄. Stuff really clears the sinuses.

Can't breathe? Eat Birthday sushi (or whatever sushi suits the moment.)

This delivery was sent to me by my friend Irina. I'm so thankful ❤️

Don't be an indecisive motherfucker this year. Either wear the shirt, or don't.

Happy New Year, cats!

Conic Natalie is celebrating its 10th year in part with a new panel interview featuring Yugo Sakamoto, Masanori Mimoto, and Kensuke Sonomura where they discuss their careers, the state of Japanese action cinema and their hopes going forward. I also learned I share a birthday with this lovely bloke.

...And with a bit of gumption and some savvy edits, actor and martial arts star Jet Li is now announcing his stake on TikTok.

Just wanted to share my pride for Junichi Okada, a top-tier multimedia star holding his own in entertainment for a quarter of a century now. I've got high hopes for this dude, and if his plans don't include Hollywood, I'm fine with that too. He's too big for them, and he shouldn't be pigeonholed.

Be like Rob, and watch THE SHADOW'S EDGE when it arrives on home media in the UK in February!

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

Mark Wahlberg is set to star in a new action thriller for Netflix called THE OPERATOR, in yet another wasted opportunity to make use of one of its best IPs. Sad.

How I spent my part of my Thanksgiving evening. Felt nice to have some time holiday downtime with the special features in Dragon Dynasty's CITY OF VIOLENCE 2-disc edition.

Within the first half hour of this movie, a school girl turns stripper for a horn crowd of old dudes to hide her talent for queefing darts out of her snatch in order to assassinate a yakuza senior.

Miike at his peak.

In case anyone here wants to feel as old as I do, actor and martial artist Hayate Masao was 35 when he shot KARATE KILL for director Kurando Mitsutake. The man is 45 years old today.

Happy birthday Hayate-san!

In other news, if you follow Lorenz Hideyoshi on Instagram, you'll find he posted a reel comparing fight choreo he did for a Star Wars fan film in 2019 to a sequence used in a 2023 episode of Star Wars: Visions. In sum, it's reasonable to believe that Disney, allegedly, stole his work. What say you?
