That assumes a Congress acting as a coequal branch of government. This Congress has ceeded its power to Trump and generally acts as a subservient branch.

Yes, really. In his first term, he was clocked as 78% of what he said being flat out lies. He was almost never called on them and when he was was allowed to skate by with a deflection. That number has only increased this term with wilder lies and more media deference.

Representative Tom Barrett hasn't been seen in Michigan's 7th district since he was elected. He voted for every cut to veterans' services and programs and now has the gall to blame everyone else.

My representative replied to a voicemail I left for him that the only reason he's not voting for the discharge petition is because when the resolution passes, Trump will veto it. My response is that they then need to override the veto. Anyway, that seems to be their current excuse.
