Well yes. My first reaction to your post was “which bombs?” because there have been several dropped across the globe already this year. Happy day 4 of 2026!

I don’t get the impression that anyone ordering bombs to be dropped is pretending to do it for peaceful ends. It’s all pretty clear that they are doing it for money or for the resources that = money.

Makes sense. Consider it similar to how gardening is not botany.

Interesting! And thank you!!

The horse head creature I vaguely know is a Celtic legend. Is it popular in Belgium too? Or Breton?

(Hope you are having a lovely holiday)

Frustrating and disappointing. Is the government going to continue to shift more conservative or is this just a short detour?

They really are living in their own fantasy world.

I just read about Belgium’s new far right party. Fun times we are living in, all around.

Because she’s won easily in a district designed to favor the GOP against uninspiring opponents, she’s under the misguided impression that her wackado politics will appeal statewide. The best outcome is, after this, NY might finally be done with her.

You could do that, or continue on with your circular needles using the “magic loop” method. No need to purchase new needles, unless you are likely to use them for another project.

Button up cardigans got lots of use…they are perfect easy on/off layer for chilly weather.

Baby blankets are a commonly gifted item. They have their uses, but it’s easy to end up with more than is necessary.

Oh no! Hope you have no serious damage!

It was a great pleasure to share my little corner of the world and to enjoy a day in your wonderful company! I’m happy to know you had a good and memorable trip.

Next time you’re back I’ll take you to the Adirondacks…now that you know how to pronounce it. 😄

Alternatively searching for “worked flat”, also under construction, will likewise yield many patterns suitable for straight needles. Both searches should work well, with some overlapping but different results.

The internet makes everyone experts.

It understandable what you are describing is disappointing. It’s also pretty universal. We look in more than we look out. Generally, unless talking about something they know personally, people should just shut up about it.

Is it like the number of Europeans who think they know everything about US politics and culture?

(Sorry. Sort of. Not really.)

Sounds delicious. You definitely should.

Tragic

Did you have dessert?

We call this time of cooler weather “fake fall”. To be followed by second summer (when the temperatures briefly rise once again), before real autumn finally comes. Enjoy the lovely weather.

Surely she had many interesting stories to tell.

Her husband was gunned down by a firing squad, so having paranoia seems reasonable.

During a visit to Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City in the beginning of the year, I learned a little about her unhappy time in North America.

It was like this before the Jayane crowd came…now you’re all quiet, so I’m back to giving my attention to news headlines and depressing political commentary.

But I very much love (prefer) when people share real life stuff!

Bravo!
