5. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (Movie, 1991)

So Freddy has killed most of the kids in Springville which is such a stupid escalation of these movies.

Legit this movie just deciding to be as remedial as possible is almost entertaining but the last 30 minutes are so uninteresting it hurts.

4. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (Movie, 1989)

Deeply stupid movie that exists only for you to go "Joe Biden what" anytime it does anything.

3. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (Movie, 1988)

Frustrating movie because there are legit fun kills here and the effects are great, but killing off the cast from 3 with ease just for the most boring cast in these movies is super disappointing. Freddy is both fun and annoying in this.

2. Venus Wars (Movie, 1987)

I'm bummed out because I found the first half of this genuinely quite engaging and atmospheric, and I liked the ragtag group but after they actually get saved by the military ship, it gets so uninteresting. The movie is fantastically made tho, so I can't hate it.

and our cruel health industry servers as a great backdrop to getting you to really root for the cast of this one, and serves as a great capping to Nancy's arc.

1. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (Movie, 1987)

A really cool capping to this trilogy with some awesome dream sequences, and I enjoy that it's used to fight Freddy himself.

The undercurrent of the film being about how mentally ill children are mistreated and undermined by adults

series. I can respect that she's a freak because it greatly enhances a lot of this manga, and it's ideas.

The manga is deserving of a reread because there's just a lot of ideas it has that I did not fully grasp reading over the time it took for the scans to finish.

Rock on, freakygaki!

is descentived because people value this idyllic idea of being a child, but to aging is inevitable and trying to enjoy that, instead of crystalizing or preventing it from happening does a deservice to you and the people around you.

I'm also impressed with Itagaki's approach to sexuality in this

163. Sanda (Manga, 2021-2024)

What an interesting series! Paru Itagaku continues to write some of the most intriguing manga regarding what it means to grow up, and both its inevitable pain and how you navigate through.

Yet, it's done through Santa and a dystopian world where growing up

162. Sanda (Anime, 2025)

Fucking beast of an adaptation. Saru just doing IP's is worrying for their future but they do put out some of the most striking anime on the market and Sanda might be their best. Just utterly striking for all 12 episodes and a perfect translation of Paru's style into anime.

161. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (Movie, 2024)

I'm not the biggest fan of Ivo and I miss the human drama, but yeah it's crazy how much this just swung for SAM'S story and delivers in a really awesome way, and its also just a great conclusion to a really good movie trilogy

160. Pluribus [S1] (TV, 2025)

Never watched a Vince Gilligan show but they're as high quality as people say.

Season 1 was really good with how much it gets you into its atmosphere and the mindset of Carol, and the slow uncovering of the hive mind is all really compelling.

159. A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (Movie, 1985)

Homoeroticism really gave this the spice it needed. The dream sequences and Jesse are also pretty great too.

158. The Elephant (Western Animation, 2025)

It's really cool that something this strange and ambitiously weird got to be made, and I hope there gets to be more of these CN alumni working together.

157. Kekkai Sensen (Manga, 2009-2015)

Nightow just understands cool shit and having that mentality for a supernatural work comedy is extremely fun to read. Fantastic character designs and art all through. Can't wait for the sequels.

Its neat.

155. Yaiba: Samurai Legend (Anime, 2025)

Yaiba is very 90s shonen in a way that's very nostalgic and leads to some fun characters and fights.

The standout for Yaiba is the production. Such a consistently insane animation output for damn near every episode for a 24 episode show is spectacular.

154. The Immortal Thor (Comic Book, 2023-2025)

What this book is trying to do interesting, yet I feel it being tied to Immortal Hulk gave me a bigger impression this would be more ambitious than it was. The revolving door of artists don't help this book either. Interested where the Mortal is going.

153. Gachiakuta (Anime, 2025)

The adaptation was really good, great animation, and had a lot of really unique expansions from the manga. Fun watch.

like we were just padding with not much interesting stuff to do with Huntress and Fionna.

I also just think that the Fionnaworld conflicts are uninteresting especially compared to Ooo, and even that wasn't paced the best.

When it's good, it's fantastic and when it's not, the season is mid.

152. Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake [S2] (Western Animation, 2025)

Such a conflicting season with so many aspects that hold it back but also with some really great stuff.

Fionna and Cake's arc for this was great, and I enjoyed Huntress' but I feel like Huntress being a part of fionnaworld felt
