All people in the US (citizen, illegal, tourist, etc) have a right to due process. Laken Riley Act puts that in jeopardy by allowing the government to detain people not even found guilty of crimes. Coupled with the government even detaining/deporting people here legally, it's even more concerning.

I think most people can agree on prosecuting criminals but there's still a presumption of innocence unless found guilty in court.

She's also my senator. She voted to confirm some of Trump's problematic cabinet nominees and for the Lake Riley Act.

The vaccine is good but not 100% effective. Also, not all people respond to vaccines and older people may have received a less effective vaccine.
