I am on the young side of Gen X. I grew up with my mom listening to Beatles and new wave. My older cousin played me Metallica, I had a hair metal phase, then Nevermind came out and it all changed. I only liked the ‘cool’ Beatles songs for a long time, grew up, then finally appreciated pop.

I watched my friend play Final Fantasy 7 and had enough money to buy a PlayStation around when FF8 came out. I bought that. Played it without a guide for 100 hours, someone lent me a guide and I started over and beat the game. Super fun, cool FMV scenes, good times all around.

I just start over. I am not going to remember the story, the mechanics, anything.
