A beautiful giant of a man literally & figuratively. I wish them both a happy future.

Oh my goodness, I’m stuffed & my legs feel like lead. Slept in this morning & as I was meeting a friend to go for a walk I needed to get my skates on to meet her. It was a great walk up & down some hills but about three quarters of the way round where we’d picked […]

A picture of wetlands with dead trees, sunken logs & grasses against a streaky sky. On all the logs turtles that have woken from their hibernation are visible almost looking like oval stones.

Haha - you won’t be happy now until it’s in the ground.

Omgosh - well done. Six buses is a lot if only for the waiting times. Glad to hear you have your lime tree though. Mine has been in a month & I noticed new little shoots today, so I’m telling myself it’s happy. Hope yours does very well.

How cool is this sunset, dark grey stormy clouds in front of the orange sunset. So pretty. #photo #iPhone14
Sunset tonight, dark storm clouds are in front on an amazing orange & yellow sunset. Trees & a roofline is framed against the sky.

As part of my recent visit to Mildura courtesy of Slow Rail Journeys, we passengers headed off on excursions. One of the most interesting was a foray into Mungo National Park, the home of some of the oldest human remains ever discovered:

I am now the proud owner of a Red Flowering Dogwood & it’s already in the ground. Doesn’t look like much at the moment at barely a metre high, but it’ll grow to 5 metres, I don’t have to prune it ever 😁👍🏼 just what I wanted. Shade for summer & looks pretty & let’s light through over winter. I […]

Good idea - take a fat wallet! Certainly not a cheap exercise this garden business.

Well that’s a bummer, but I admit to not finding the lime tree I wanted there either & today the range of deciduous trees there was woeful.

Good morning tooting friends. It was pretty chilly again this morning at only 4c, but the sun ☀️ is up & shining now & we are heading to a beautiful 24c. There’s barely a cloud in the sky & not a breath of wind. Stillness like this means my garden is going to get quite warm.
I have decided I […]

Article pushing faster railway development in Melbourne's west. I remember several government MPs in that region registering dismay over the delay of the airport line, given it goes through the west. Seemed a bit foolish of the Victorian government, since it suffered big swings against it in the […]

Life is very complex & I don’t know about you but I find navigating hard sometimes. Bunnings - do I admit it’s my favourite store 😬, I love getting gift cards for use there & like you I never walk out with just the one item I’m wanting.
Fingers crossed for success with your Lime tree […]

Great day today, along with my walk & mowing the lawns plus a couple of other jobs I’ve walked over 10km today & feel pretty good considering. It’s been pretty fresh weather wise though. Heard from some friends, one couple I’m house sitting for in two weeks time & the other my old swim buddy […]

Wow. You’ve really started moving now. Boogie board for the swimming & ukulele to play - unless you play the ukulele on the boogie board & start singing as you ride the it 😂.

You could lash out & book something at Crown - that’s shouldn’t be too far away I think.

Oh dear. I hope it does get fixed today & not too late. Could be a very slow climb otherwise.

While I totally abhor the treatment of the activists from the Gaza flotilla, Greta Thunberg said it best herself when she said it wasn’t about her it was about Gaza & the crisis there.
The #msm have fallen for the distraction again!
