Soo now with the holidays break over, how do you do that working the job thing again?

IIRC it was like keep browsing social media and keep convincing yourself you're being productive?

I still have this dream of having an AI music production assistant so I decided to experiment today.

Generating structured data can do wonders. #buildinpublic

Cursor is rolling out a new update.

The new mode name for agent edits is very interesting. Quite fitting given it can run anything in your terminal😄

Started a @tanstack.com Start project today. It feels so good working with a framework that isn't actively trying to make me feel stupid.

I think it's gonna become my go-to stack for a while. That and @astro.build.

Ship fast but don't skip important steps. #buildinpublic

Yesterday I posted on reddit a demo of my app. It did decently well, people were interested.

But I didn't realize the download link was broken.

Not a single problem until now. Shouldn't have let my guard down. Rookie mistake, oops😅

No clue how I got that many achievements but I swear I have a life.

Another VS Code Tip 💁‍♂️

Working in Next.js or other file-based routing frameworks?

Use workbench.editor.customLabels.patterns setting to add custom labels to the tabs to distinguish them easily.

Have you ever had a situation where you had a great idea but had no clue how to implement it?

Or felt like you wasted too much time implementing something?

Or have ever hit a technical wall trying to scale your product?

VS Code tip💁‍♂️

Enable editor.linkedEditing to change both surrounding tags at once when editing one of them.

Not sure why it's not enabled by default🤷

If one AI doesn't cut it, use multiple!

Gen AI performs better when given one specific task. Pipe the output of one AI onto another and give it the next task.

This is why multi-agent features like cascade in Windsurf are so powerful. #buildinpublic

Example below 🧵 👇

Looking for qualified leads?

sky-scout.app is temporarily free to use.

I'm running a pilot of the main premium feature of the app to gauge the usefulness of the product.

You can sign up and use it for free for the next couple of days😊

Great tip from Dustin!

And for Cursor users, there is a similar feature but Cursor is automatically aware of it. It's called Cursor rules:

Make sure your landing pages clearly describe what problems your product solves and who the target audience is!

Not only is this vital information for potential customers, but also makes the information easily digestible by AI. #buildinpublic

An anecdote below 👇

A quick architecture diagram of sky-scout.app, for those curious. Perhaps it will inspire you to build something using the bsky's firehose🙂 #buildinpublic #webdev

Finally have most of the pieces in place so this week I'm focusing on gauging the usefulness of sky-scout.app/waitlist

Let me help you and try to find you customers for free! Just link me your product and I'll get back to you in a day or two with results (or lack of 😬)! #buildinpublic

Just noticed I didn't have strict mode enabled in TS which let a major bug slip by. It's wild to me it's still not on by default in the newer versions🤯

Hate working with tables, so I'm so glad this part is over 😄 v0 made it so much less painful. I was surprised it can handle data tables so well. #buildinpublic

Had to get this thought out of my system.

Parrots are the nature's LLMs. They learn the human language and can mimic it perfectly fine. But they don't understand what they are speaking and most of the time they're stringing together gibberish.

Subscribe for more deep insights and parrot facts.

React 19 has just released so I needed to refresh my memory and re-read the change log.

I think I'm just gonna stick to @tanstack.com for now.

Always the same story for me:
1. Start writing a blog post
2. Cram too many ideas into it
3. Cut away fluff and refine
4. Realize you've cut away too much and the text is now confusing

Oh well, I'll post it anyway, done is better than perfect. #buildinpublic

One thing that has seriously helped me improve my graphical skills was learning the Gestalt principles. If you're struggling with UI/graphics, go read up on them!

Simple rules go a long way to creating visually pleasing UI/content.
