I still remember when most large businesses had a cafeteria with fresh cooked meals available to staff. Now you're expected to leave the premises on a short lunch break to buy fast food. Small companies had food trucks, often with home cooked meals.
fast food has ruined all of this.

Beware of accounts who push that don't vote talking point.
If Americans don't understand what is at stake by now, they will experience some very difficult times indeed.
I suspect ulterior motives.

Nope. I have been to Dubai and seen how they exploit foreign workers. Not buying anything from there if I can help it.
Their pistachios are really good though. They were so cheap there too!

No, it means it may be more complicated.

But the US is not the UK. They have an entirely different situation.
Who would you suggest they vote for that could win? Bernie won't run again.

You may well be right. But if what Bannon said recently about speeding things up, they know they're already behind in their fascist takeover.
There is hope, isn't there?

Yes, that's all well and good but this is the Us where they have just two viable parties. Maybe they can work on that when they get the fascists out of the government.

I understand the anger but we all saw the food lines.
They were given a choice between starving people or kicking them off Obamacare.

Yes, you can work on that later.
Look, we just faced a similar vote between a deeply unpopular liberal party and a Trumpian/Project 2025 style conservative. Canadians made the right choice.
The guy we elected is more conservative to my tastes but we dodged the far right bullet.

Yes they are and they are trying to cope with an untenable situation. It's a choice of starvation or healthcare. That's no choice at all. They tried to force the fascists to budge, but they didn't.
You saw the food lines.
How much suffering were you willing to inflict?

No, your country is at the point of an existential crisis and you absolutely must deal with that first and forcefully. That means voting those fascists out by voting for the only party who can actually win against them.
Don't act like you don't know this.

Judging by your feed, you aren't a democrat. So, why are you here encouraging democrats not to vote for their own party?
