What you're arguing for is complicity in harming trans women for no reason other than fear of a boogie man. Your attitude is losing you allies in your trans sisters. We aren't losing elections because we support trans people, we're losing them because democrats ran on being Republican light.

Girl, transphobia is rooted in misogyny, of course we live in a misogynistic culture. It hates us both and wants us to fight. The fact is that trans women are women. You're at no greater risk from being housed with a trans woman than you are with any of the cis women.
