After being intrigued by the backstory cutscene in Shadow Generations, I took a small tumble down the rabbit hole that is the Sonic wiki and... wow. I didn't realize the Sonic franchise is a sci-fi epic, but apparently so?

I just finished the Sonic Generations half of Sonic x Shadow Generations. I'm not a huge Sonic fan, but I had a lot of fun with it. It's a real tour de force of Sonic history. And by that I mean it has Green Hill Zone and that level where you run down a hill from a truck.

Getting frustrated with Returnal. It's a good game, but very hard. I've fought the first boss 3 times and lost 3 times. And I've been killed by mini-bosses and plain mobs many, many times in between. I do want to persevere, but it's getting to the point where it's more frustrating than fun […]

Basically all I know about Returnal before I started was:

But it turns out it's also pretty scary and psychological. Also, it's a bullet hell? I didn't even know bullet hell games existed outside of 3D, but here it is.
