The photo doesn't do justice to what it really looks like, but I've never seen the night sky as clear as it is tonight. When I look up it feels like I only need to jump and I'll dive into a sea of stars. It's amazing. 💜

Quick b&w concept sketch and some gradient map experimenting. These were not the colors I originally intended to use, or will use in the actual painting, but I quite like them on the sketch. :>

Painting this was a lot of fun and brought me a few moments of peace amidst all the noise in my mind.

I'm mostly doing studies lately and I basically hate all of them. Kinda part of the whole artist experience, I guess. But since I felt the need to finish something I digged out an old WIP from 2023. At least it's appropriate for the season. 😅

I had to sketch so many peonies this week, I start to see them when I close my eyes. 🥲
These are just a few of them. Never drew these flowers before (as far as I remember), so that's a nice exercise.
