Unlightened. Creativity boosts the economy and comes in all mannerof forms and most certainly is not all digital or AI. Can we have it elsewhere in the British Isles?

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

To be honoured by my peers is really special. Nonetheless CS is a team effort Dave and my wife’s unstinting support for no financial benefit.

Lovely to share a pleasure in a landscape that means so much to so many. My youthful attention was always directed to the romance of the Yorkshire Dales from my mother’s roots.

My exuberance has a sane platform, marshalled by Dave’s clever editing.

We share your emotional pleasure. Out again this coming Wednesday discovering the story or Seatoller and its magical secret hideaway sunless setting.

Not forgetting Helen’s unstinting support.

Not forgetting the unstinting support of Helen too. There are no financial upsides to podcasting.

Punny you should say that.

Thank-you Elizabeth. Up there with David goes my wife for her essential support. The whole seven-year commitment has cost us dearly, there are no financial benefits from podcasting.

Thank-you Jenny. I should also mention the huge contribution and support my wife has given to enable this massive undertaking… which has cost us massively, there are no financial upsides to podcasting.

OWPG inaugural Members’ Award, received this evening, to say I’m chuffed is an understatement. But I also give due credit to non-member and producer David Felton, without his genius this could never have happened.

Out this afternoon recording a Countrystride podcast about the famous Latrigg Trespass of 1878. Our charming and highly informed guest Sheila Wiggins from Bournemouth, a descendant of the principal champion of the cause Henry Jenkinson. Whose name adorns the gates of Fitz Park.
