The structure was my biggest problem with both, and what made it feel like Marvel was just greenlighting them without actually caring. Getting character centered minis that tie together for a main was incredible, and built out the EVENT feel.

I should give Scourge a revisit. To me, both it and Last felt like they were made to hang on to a trademark or something.

Absolutely. :) I re-read Annihilation and Conquest every couple of years. The in universe how, why and when Conquest occurs is gloriously brutal.

I absolutley loved You're Next. Ready or Not is a fun ride that I have a singular problem with that isn't worth mentioning here and spoiling the movie (it's not the ending).

Even before his heel turn, Dean Cain is a terrible choice for Nightwing. I'm actually pretty game for everything else. A rarity for their casting calls.

Barbara Broccoli retired from the franchise because everyone she had to deal with at Amazon was "a fucking idiot." Not that I didn't believe her then, but now I absolutely do.
