Technical Product Specialist (& CAD Nerd 🤓): I don’t JUST write about technical tools. I’ve built, designed, UX/UI tested, coded, marketed, and taught others how to use them!
I use an HP omen, love it.

Watch out for the fact that autocad uses single threading, so you might not need some of the graphics and cup capabilities that you think.
And some cheaper models and options actually work better.
I suggest asking an AI for the full break down of each component!

Argh! At least you figure it out!

what are you doing with it lol?

I feel that's a close minded approach.

If I can press a button to generate something while I crack on with doing something else, that's saving me time.
That's exactly how washing machines work!

I used to work for a CAD software company. A lot of the developers used Linux.
They would also have to run AutoCAD, so they could check files for compatibility.
Never heard a complaint about running AutoCAD on an emulator!

What skill did you master that you will never use again?

How to rewire my car and change the oil. Can't do anything in a car these days with a laptop...

Use an emulator for autoCAD

🤣🤣🤣 proxy graphics?

Now yes, but in the long term. This was DALLE, better modules now exist.

The courts haven't agreed yet, so this is still technically up for debate. Some models are trained on opensource data!

Also, yes, most new technology puts artists out of work.

However, it might not, it might just increase the amount of art artists can output!

I don't think they are suggesting that the technology is already perfect, just demonstrating possibilities. Even if AI only gets us halfway, that's a lot of saved time!

To each their own I suppose 😁

Try working for Boeing... They still used scanned microfiche and their own, home-coded CAD... 😢

Could also buy a bigger screen...
