So much bad news, but this fall the Metro NY Library Cncl is launching the first iteration of its Cross-Reference Coalition, an experimental interdisciplinary school ft 17 participants from across NYC’s libraries, colleges + municipal depts, plus artists + designers. We’re exploring The Misfit.
The Cross-Reference Coalition, a new experimental school hosted by METRO's Creative Research team, is launching its first class on September 25! A cohort of 17 - including representatives from the After Violence Project, the Brooklyn Public Library, the CUNY Grad Center, the New York City College of Technology, the New York City Department of Records, the New York City Department of Transportation, New York City Public Schools, New York University, Poets House, the Pratt Institute, the Prime Produce Apprentice Cooperative, the Queens Public Library, and a range of arts and design organizations — will explore The Misfit throughout the fall, then collectively edit a book in the spring. We'll share all of our course materials (check METRO's newsletter for links!), and we'll host new courses on new themes each fall and spring!
