Again, none of those are an actual real life counterpart for the Indoraptor.

But if you squint, you can certainly find some similarities in them.

And in my professional dino nerd opinion. I think Megaraptor is the closest.

Specifically with megaraptorids.

We have Megaraptor, which is known for its sickle shaped hand claws.

We have Maip considered to be one of, if not the largest megaraptorids we have discovered.

There is also Herrerasaurus, not a megaraptorid, but an early carnivore from the Late Triassic.

Hatzegopteryx, a giant giraffe sized pterosaur that probably preyed on Magyarosaurus, or at least the young and/or sick.

And if you don’t think a dwarf titanosaurian sauropod is one of the coolest things ever, you’re wrong.
January 13, 2026 at 1:36 AM
Because of insular dwarfism.

Insular dwarfism is a phenomenon where larger animals are isolated to island life and have limited resources and potentially a lack of predators.

Resulting in them evolving to be much smaller.

Magyarosaurus lived on Hateg island, and the top predator there?

I’m so happy Nanotyrannus is valid. They bring up so many new questions and I can’t wait to see what we learn from it!

No because tell me why they were in the comments talking about cursing people with bay leaves lmao.

“AI is influencing how the book industry operates.”

Yeah. And that’s a bad thing. AI hurts authors and no one with a brain wants to read AI slop.

“We recognize the environmental footprint of AI systems and we strive to minimize it.”

You know how you can minimize it?

By not using it.
