Ok. Maybe I’m just dense. Why is it patriotic or heroic for them to resign? Wouldn’t it be better for them to stay and make things difficult by refusing to do their bidding? Can’t the admin now replace them with any magat willing to do their bidding?

They are not hackers. They are little rich boys who somehow got themselves in with musk. They didn’t hack anything. Hacking would require a semblance of intelligence. They were literally given access.
