The upcoming holiday has us thinking about things we are thankful for-our crew who work hard to get us where we need to go, the @wsdot.wa.gov app that has schedules & alerts, 10% increase in daily sailings, and, of course, our riders who trust us with their holiday travel plans.

On Saturday, the United States Sailing Foundation and The Sailing Foundation presented Capt. John McMillen with a letter of commendation for his and the Suquamish crew’s quick actions that helped save two sailors on March 8.

We never plan on break downs, but we are always ready when it happens. Today, the #Samish needed urgent repairs and our crew sprung into action, working tirelessly to get the vessel ready to get back into service. Repairs are ongoing and updates will be provided as we get them.

On #VeteransDay, all our ferries underway at 11:11 a.m. will sound their whistle in tribute to those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Each vessel in service tomorrow, Nov. 11, will fly a military branch flag (or a Merchant Marine flag) and the POW/MIA flag. wsdot.wa.gov/about/news/2...

We've finalized the schedule for work affecting our Mukilteo/Clinton route in early '26.

On these dates, the last am sailing will be the 830a out of Clin and 9a out of Muk. Service will resume with 1p Clin departure & 130p Muk departure.

Save this for easy reference!

Happy Halloween! Don’t be scared of daylight saving coming this weekend… The full sailing day of Sat, 11/1, will start and end on PDT. Terminals & vessels will turn their clocks back 1 hr at the end of the Sat sailing schedule. The sailing day starting on Sun 11/2, will be under PST.

Weather could change this schedule as we need visibility for pile driving because work must stop if a protected marine mammal is spotted. We are finalizing the schedule with the contractor & plan to share the exact 9 days soon so you can plan ahead. Work must finish by 2/13/26.

We now have a rough timeline for construction that will affect our #Mukilteo/#Clinton route early 2026. The 9 weekdays of midday sailing cancellations will likely occur during the first two full weeks of January and the first two full weeks of February. More info in these slides:

It's #NationalMakeADogsDay and what better way to do that than to take your pup on a ferry ride! Dogs are allowed everywhere their person is, with the exception of the galley. Dogs must remain leashed and under control at all times.

That’s dolphin for: Heads up Seattle/Bremerton commuters! We will be replacing two floating dolphin structures at our Bremerton terminal this winter. What’s a dolphin? A dolphin is a landing aid used to help our captains navigate into our docks.

Today at 12:30 p.m., all ferries underway across our system will sound their whistles in unison to rally the team ahead of Game 5 at 3:08 p.m. From the Salish Sea to T-Mobile Park, Washington State Ferries is cheering the @Mariners full steam ahead toward the World Series!
