When this box left Highland Spring it will have been fine. By the time it was slung round the Tesco system, this had happened. Always about half the boxes on the shelf are noticeably damaged. But in what sane world does this get picked for click & collect? Tesco Inverness we’re looking at you!!! 😡

46 years ago this Christmas cactus flowered at Christmas. It’s been getting roughly one day a year earlier ever since. Still it brightens up dark days whenever it chooses to blossom.

You definitely need to repot that because it’s probably already root bound. Give it another year and it’ll be taking over the balcony, probably. Year 2 and you’ll be here.

Perhaps the answer lies in whether one is wearing the full uniform. If you want to go the full Louis XIV, anyone can be cool. Though you’ll need a better horse.

Given the weather is foul today, here’s some cirrus in the troposphere from a couple of days ago. High winds up there at 13km, about 42,000 ft. According to my book anyway.

Tomorrow’s forecast being horrid, today we’re chilling on the beach at Nairn, where we don’t live, looking through the marram grass at the Black Isle, where we do. Directly in front is the entrance to the Cromarty Firth.
