I mean from a technical point of view by now they could conceivably make a furry elephant to pass as a mammoth but their trial and error would be much slower given the 20 month gestation period vs the mere 3 months for grey wolves…

I think it's fake, but wouldn't it be just the best is Colossal's PR slop bit them in the ass by making it oh so easy to trick the media into believing they did something they are nowhere near accomplishing.
