Street walking banshee with a heart full of Advil.

My spectrum is ambient-psybient-dreampop-shoegaze.
Ah, the 500 does that? Ours (can’t recall the model and the owner’s manual is in a whole nother room and it’s cold and I haven’t switched on the heater) doesn’t, so at the end of the cycle I prop the door open with a small block of wood. If I were trading up, I’d want that feature.

Compelled to respond to this because I too have a specific approach to music enjoyment, nerdy and rather anal even. And while I enjoy lurking in debates over Spotify evils and format wars, my simple belief is you gotta enjoy ’em however you got ‘em. The song’s the thing.

Looked for “Baby’s On Fire” and all was well

Saw The Exorcist days after release, knowing nothing going in. Slept with the lights on for three nights after. I was 18.

I got 25, and as the first record I bought with my own money was “Surf City” in 1963, I am going to try to convince my tinnitus-plagued ears to follow suit.

Since the first record I ever bought with my own money was “Surf City” when it was a hit, I am pleased to say, “ Hello, fellow youths.”

every volume worth having. shortwave geek goodness; especially great when seeded in a randomly-generated music playlist.

Same. First movie I ever saw with my parents; I was eight. We drove the hour to San Francisco to see it at the Cinerama. It was wacky and chaotic, but I do remember feeling a tingle when the giant ’W’ was revealed.

Been avoiding because she uses Autotune, but maybe I gotta get past that.

May I humbly suggest JD McPherson‘s album “Socks”

I do something similar on Rate Your Music (an invaluable site). I’ll look up a favorite album, and peruse user lists that include it. I have on occasion found dozens of interesting (often obscure) albums on just one of these lists.

Maybe my biggest-ever movie crush was Mary Stuart Masterson in SKoW.

Can’t figure why they’re worried about continuity. The first Craig movie took us back to the beginning after twenty films.

Maybe they think one guy can run roughshod and rewrite the rulebook at the city level like their guy did at the national

We were ahead of the curve; we already knew we only live once, long before the dawn of social media
