There was a ton of people buying propane bottles and filling up cans of gas. The roads are mostly passable. We have gas logs and are snug under electric blanket with generator going for night.

NOT a medical expert, but my mom is 85 and I've seen this first 'hand'. Yes, it appears to be makeup over senile purpura bruising almost in the very same spot it was in a few months ago. You can see an area they missed as you move down toward his index finger. (They should have used orange)

Claude is an appeaser via mimicry and doesn't show offense in correction. It will apologize, say it will do better, but you are right in it is not 'thinking'. I nudge it often. Nevertheless, I find its appeasement 'personality' a little annoying, even if I enjoy interacting w/Claude models the most.

It's still expensive, but I think someone got their math off. The C-17 FY25 Other Federal User Rate is around $20,000 an hour, a C-130 less. Nevertheless, dumb and more expensive than charter.
