The team focuses on peer-to-peer data management, proof of location, and verifiable geo-computation, and has shipped a Web3 Geospatial Dashboard that blends STAC metadata with IPFS and @Filecoin for multi-path retrieval.

Our world runs on maps.

As dependence on location data grows, so does the need for resilient, verifiable infrastructure.

The Decentralized Geospatial Collaborative is building open source tools that make geospatial data easier to store, share, and trust.

With support from Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web, the Digital Public Library of America ( @dpla.bsky.social ) ran a pilot to store selected partner content on the Filecoin network, building resilience and keeping communities in control of their data.
