My version of this is “friend wins Worlds because a coverage person at the previous Pro Tour accidentally marked a deck as going 9-1 when it actually went 4-6.”
My brain is too smooth to figure out good tech for events but I always love the stories of "my list won a challenge but the sideboard was garbage bc I was running late but now it's the *stock* list"
