Anecdotally, a lot of GPs either dismiss peri/menopause symptoms, or misdiagnose them. There has been very little long-term research in this area.

It can be a really tumultuous time for a lot of women/people with wombs.
If you know someone around this age who seems to be struggling, please talk to them about peri/menopause. Most GPs are woefully ill equipped to diagnose and treat these issues.
