Way too much Jesus. In these times where Christian Nationalism is attacking democracy, we need leaders who respect that public office is NOT about religion.

If people are going to claim that Jesus is a good spokesperson for progressive morality, they are going to have to be more honest about the many places in the New Testament in which Jesus preaches hate, division, and violence.

Let's be honest about this: The teachings of Jesus include the Book of Revelation. Almost every word of it is supposed to have come from the mouth of Jesus, and it includes detailed plans to create a global Christian Nationalist monarchy through mass torture and murder overseen by Jesus himself.

What's more, Jesus is the worst kind of king, a self-obsessed megalomaniac willing to use violence and fear to gain power for himself.
The Book of Revelation makes it clear that Christian Nationalists do gain their morality from the Bible - a morality that worships sadism!

It might help you to read the Book of Revelation, and see where the character of Jesus ended up at the end of the story. Not a nice guy in the end, and that's where the Christian Nationalists get their Christianity from.

How about this comparison: Jesus came back in the Book of Revelation promising to torture & kill everyone who wouldn't obey him, talking about how much he hated people for not having the right kind of sex.
That sounds a lot like Trump, doesn't it?
