She/her I take music very seriously, and myself not so much. I spin yarn, knit socks, fiddle around, smash the patriarchy, and punch fascists. Just your average friendly neighborhood librarian putting in the work and fighting the good fight
Just started Sarah Gailey's "Magic for Liars" and I am HOOKED

I guess I fell asleep last night at like 8:50 and my spouse tried to wake me up like it's not even 9 yet and I told him no it's 10 o'clock and just kept sleeping. I'm feeling quite well rested today.

Can't wait to start this today!

Also I passed out at like 9p last night before I'd even made it a full chapter in my ebook I'm reading (Home Before Dark by Riley Sager)

If you as a parent do not want your child to read about something, that is your job as a parent to oversee their reading. It should absolutely not affect what children who are not yours are reading.

For the third year in a row I have made the top .05% of Deer Tick listeners. Of course I'm proud.

Every time I read about banning books, I think of this:

Reading a book with a gay character will not make you gay any more than reading a book about Einstein will make you a genius.
If you're afraid that books might change someone's thinking, you're not afraid of books — you're afraid of thinking.

The worst part about being a library worker (who enjoys reading) is not being able to read on a day like this. Snowy, cold, dark, and perfect for getting lost in a thriller or true crime.
