A beautiful Kookaburra sits in a tree (not an old gum tree, sadly!). Its breast and much of its head is a somewhat speckled cream colour, it has deep brown wings with cream spots, and deep brown flashes around its eyes and back towards its neck. I took the photo in March 2024, during a visit to the Serpentine Dam in Western Australia.

Hi! Meet Wilf and Kira - our father and daughter mini-dachshunds ☺️
Wilf, a cream dapple, miniature long-haired dachshund, looks very handsome on his beige blanket. Kira, a shaded red, miniature long-haired dachshund, holds a blue and green chewy bone between her paws, which she is chewing whilst looking rather anxious.

You’re not wrong! And if the patio door is open, they run around the garden, in the house (downstairs only, of course), back outside, and then do it all again 🤪
