📢New Report Out Now

The transportation of #nurdles through rail networks is an important but often overlooked source of chronic & acute nurdle pollution

Our new case study report highlights this source of land based nurdle pollution & looks at the solutions👉 www.nurdlehunt.org.uk/news/off-the...

The UK's PFAS Plan falls short on tackling TFA, a persistent and mobile PFAS that forms from PFAS pesticides.
Our research found TFA in 98% of UK rivers. 💧 Denmark have already banned PFAS pesticides linked to TFA. ✅
We need strong action on PFAS pesticides to help tackle TFA pollution. ⚠️

🚨 The UK’s #PFAS plan was published today 🚨

Although outlining plans for improved monitoring & research, the plan falls short on meaningful action to reduce PFAS pollution at source.

We urgently need preventative action to protect people & nature 🌿

A reminder that Sweden is re-evaluating 38 PFAS pesticides linked to TFA
Denmark banned them last year after TFA contaminated drinking water
Our research: 98% of UK rivers are contaminated with TFA 💧
We are waiting for the UK's action on PFAS pesticides

A new vision for water?💧

The Water White Paper acknowledges the need for reform but fails to confront chemical pollution at source by overlooking industrial chemicals such as PFAS, and microplastics 🚫

The Water Bill cannot miss this opportunity to protect our water before harm happens.

A lack of chemical labelling poses a challenge for the managing of waste upholstered domestic seating (WUDS), which may contain now banned chemcial flame retardants. This lack of chemcial transparency can lead to unnecessary incineration of WUDS🧪🔥♻

New research shows #nurdles are more likely to carry antimicrobial resistant bacteria, compared to other types of #microplastics

Yet another reason these #plasticpellets need to be prevented from entering the environment 🌎
