If I request #airport assistance, it doesn't necessarily mean that I need a wheelchair! So don't make me waste my time waiting for someone to come with a wheelchair when I specifically told you I don't need one. #Disabled =/= wheelchair user.
Btw, treating all #disabilities the same is #ableism

Listen #UK, if you're going to require me to bring my passport when travelling, you better put a stamp on it!
What's the point of having a huge-ass passport if you don't get stamps??

You never realise how much you take things like breathing or not having a headache for granted until you end up in bed with a bad cold

Finally finished my master's thesis! I'm FREE! And I can spend time reading again! How had I missed reading! #books #reading

How can people say "It's about music, not politics" in front of such cruel and inhumane acts? What #Israel is doing to Palestinians goes way beyond simple politics. If you decide to turn your head not to see, you're an accomplice.

Got an ad on YouTube specifically for my country where the Israeli singer at #Eurovision asked to vote for her. Really, #Israel? Someone must be quite desperate for votes.

Btw, I'm not watching Eurovision this year specifically because they are still participating despite all they're doing in Gaza

Found my first white hair two days ago. Also, I've been putting on weight for the past few months, after a life of eating what I wanted and staying skinny. I keep telling myself it'll get better once the academic stress is gone, but damn, I hadn't realise ageing would catch up with me, too!

Meta, stop telling me to download Threads. I don't care about Threads. I'M NOT DOWNLOADING THREADS. No matter how many times you encourage me to do so

Just spent the past hour re-emailing offices who didn't reply to my previous email. I HATE THIS! It makes me feel like trash, begging people who ignore me for a reply

Just received a text from my phone service provider promoting a deal for kids below 14.
Kids that young don't need deals and in fact don't need phones either.
Uni students need deals on phone service, or other people likely to be on low income, but pre-teens and children DON'T.

Just found out a man entered a cafe in my hometown and stabbed 3 people. One of them is in bad conditions. Still don't know what happened or who the guy was.
I'm shocked. This is a very small town, usually not much happens around here.

What the fuck is going on everywhere lately?

And for new, free and fair elections, we need pressure from our friends in addition to our mobilization in Georgia. Firm non-recognition, sanctions, etc.
Day 80 continuous. Large marches in Batumi, Tbilisi. This is Tbilisi, from Europe Square to Freedom Square, symbolically. If you thought the mood was going down, you were mistaken. The crisis won't be resolved without new, free and fair elections. #GeorgiaProtests

After reading letters from prison, protesters lit lanterns in front of the parliament.

Georgians have been protesting every night for 80 days, despite the risk of being beaten, arrested jailed, for their country's democratic future. They're showing incredible courage and they deserve to be seen, heard and supported.

Let's stand with Georgia ❤️🇬🇪
#Tbilisi: On the 80th day of nonstop, nationwide protests, a sea of people has filled Tbilisi’s streets demanding change, justice, new elections, and the release of all regime prisoners.

Despite the regime’s aggressive attempts to intimidate and repress protesters—

📽️ Finally got to see "I'm still here".
Really liked it, especially the wonderful performance by Fernanda Torres.

We need more films like this, especially in the current times.

Also, it's great to delve into another country's history (not Italy or the US).

And I LOVED the Brazilian 60s soundtrack!

Does anyone remember on Nintendogs, when you tried to teach a dog a command but it didn't understand what you said, so it was confused and his head tilted to the side, with question marks popping up all around? I need that as a GIF

Couldn't sleep last night and ended up thinking of the kids I met when volunteering in a Kindergarten 2 years ago. I wonder how they are doing now, and how much they have changed.
I may not recognise them if I met them now, but I'll always remember them

Over 10 minutes talking about nothing. Not a single mention of the protests that have been ongoing daily for over 2 months, of the violence committed by the police against protesters, or of the well-documented rigged elections.
Is this how you do journalism @euronews.com ?
The art of selective journalism. The Euronews, agency co-funded by the EU, interviews Georgian Kobakhidze in Tbilisi while ignoring the massive protests outside and brutality of gvt. Not a single question about #GeorgiaProtests. Impressive commitment to looking the other way

Monday morning: thinking of reasons not to drop out of uni
February 10, 2025 at 8:53 AM
A summary of my last 2 weeks:
- Got the flu: stuck in bed for 5 days
- Got bitten by my dog: right hand been hurting for a week. Can't write properly. Had to take antibiotics for a week.
- Got a super annoying cold

Can I PLEASE just do my uni work in peace??? I really need to graduate 😭

I'll say it with the risk of being hated.
Being a stay at home mom is not the same as having a job. It is work, it is hard, but it is NOT like having a job. Proof be the fact that working moms (a lot of whom are single moms and have no choice) hold down a job AND do all the chores and parenting too.

(1/?) During arguments, I used to try to be patient and explain people my point. I thought through logics and facts I'd prove my point valid, and maybe change their mind. I used to consider it important not to be arrogant, because that would draw people further from my position.
