I try not to pull that card or my uncle, who was dragged under a car for like a long time by a drunk driver, because it mostly makes people uncomfortable but it's deeply uncomfortable and disgusting to me

Like one of my granduncles can only go to a specific surgeon who has a map of where his organs are because being hit by someone driving under the influence basically destroyed his insides. I sat for hours in the hospital waiting to find out if he was going to live. It's incredibly evil shit to do

It's a shocking and ugly thing to realize and it makes me think less of people, and I don't like that! I've also lost/almost lost family members to HORRIFIC drunk driving accidents, I don't understand the levity with which people often approach it
