7 TIPS TO REMAINING SAFE WHEN PROTESTING Make sure someone knows where you are and what you're doing When protesting though it would probably be best to just have someone with you, if you are alone, just make sure that someone knows where you are in case something goes wrong. Bring necessary resources 2 3 You must bring things that will protect both from COVID and possible police brutality. Always have a mask (it is recommended that this mask has a filter), hand sanitizer, water, milk, ID, maybe some goggles. And try to wear plain clothing that will cover your whole body and cover up and tell-tale features. Know Your Rights 4 When protesting it is important you know what your rights are so you can avoid any clashes and if anyone tries anything unjust tell them that it is your constitutional right. If you were to get something on video of someone disrespecting your rights or anyone elses you could nail them for it + Try your hardest to remain 6 feet from anyone who your not with 6/t 5 Ir's very important to remain 6 feet away from people even with masks and especially during a protest when there is lots of screaming and hectic energy about. Don't ever lose track or get separated from anyone you're protesting with 6 Ilf things turn suddenly you have to make sure whoever you went with is nearby so you aren't somehow stuck at the protest or have no way to leave or risk your friend being in any danger. You need to leave quickly a lot of the time and with your whole party. Keep track of where you are and where your car, bustop or parent is It's always important to keep track of where you are and where your way to get home is but when protesting though most likely nothing will go wrong. you must always plan your way out. Run When there is danger do not be brave and stick around. Get your friends and other companions and run as fast as you can until you are far away from any danger.
