In Saint Louis in the 1950s and 60s there was an area named the Gaslight District that had a vibrant jazz and R&B scene. My parents used to patronize the clubs, which had predominantly black artists. I grew up in the 60s listening to a lot of black artists. Loved the music! Still do.

The first time I used a mandolin I was slicing potatoes for a frittata. Sliced the tip of little finger right off. It was the morning of a niece’s wedding. A trip to an urgent care ended up with my finger being bandaged in a way that made it look like a chicken drummie.

He is opting for the vengeful God of the Old Testament. Shouldn’t call himself a Christian since God sent Jesus, his only begotten son, to tell us he was actually a loving God, not the asshole described in the Old Testament.

I read this book years ago. I found the author’s rationales that were presented were also useful in my personal life too.

Years ago I worked with a guy who liked to describe people like Trump as having “I disease”. He even nicknamed a co-worker who I don’t think ever said “we” when giving team project updates “pink eye”. That is Trump in a nut shell.
